Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field Advanced English communication 1-2 years of experience in designing web or product layouts. Internships also count! A portfolio of your work with examples of design Figma knowledge: components, auto layouts, prototypes, style guides, etc. Basic understanding of front-end engineering to help you design and collaborate with developers Highly collaborative, results-driven, team player Ability to take constructive criticism and improve upon work Willingness to learn and expand your skillset Knowledge of responsive design and an understanding of web development principles Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to convey and justify your point of view, find common ground with colleagues and stakeholders, and provide feedback in a collegial manner Product and strategic thinking skills, ability to turn business goals into compelling design solutions Nice to have UI/UX design experience. Understand the basics of user research, personas, and user journey mapping. Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator and Photoshop) Knowledge of grid systems, alignment, and balance to create visually appealing designs. SAAS company experience Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Wagtail. Responsibilities Collaborate with senior designers to create engaging, aesthetically pleasing, and functional website layouts and interfaces. Communicate effectively with developers to ensure the design is implemented correctly and meets technical requirements. Design and modify visual assets like icons, banners, and images for use on websites. Ensure designs are responsive and mobile-friendly, adapting to various screen sizes and devices. Assist in maintaining and updating existing websites, ensuring they are up-to-date and running smoothly. Work with product managers and other teams to understand client needs and incorporate feedback into designs. Assist in creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces with a focus on improving the user experience Help create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for client projects or internal initiatives. Adhere to branding and design guidelines while contributing to the creative process to ensure consistency across projects. Assist in testing design elements for functionality and performance across various browsers and devices, troubleshooting design-related issues as needed.
