Job Description:
Strategy
o Ensures that tax strategies and policies are implemented and are understood by management throughout Nutreco. To promote awareness of tax matters at
all relevant management levels from the perspective of reducing Nutreco’s total tax burden, in line with guidelines from the tax treasury committee.
Business year planning
o Supports the designing and implementing year plan(s) for the key area(s) of the department, in line with the strategy framework of Nutreco.
Tax planning
o Identifies tax planning opportunities including the corporate and financial structure and dividend policy for individual companies, and to support their
implementations in order to minimize the total tax load and (financing) costs related to tax payments.
Compliance to fiscal legislation
o Ansures initiation and execution of activities needed to comply with (foreign) tax legislation and ensure payment and accounting of VAT, project taxes,
international corporate tax and personnel/social security taxes world-wide, in order to perform business activities without (fiscal) legal sanctions.
Tax legislation
o Analyses and communicates changes in tax regulations which impacts Nutreco businesses on a world-wide basis, in order to continuously safeguard
compliance of Nutreco with these changing regulations and to give direction to tax issues which enhance corporate interests.
Tax relations
o Develops and maintains an international network of external contacts in the field of fiscal legislation and keeps up with developments in (inter)national fiscal
legislation, in order to ensure value added partnerships for Nutreco and to make maximal use of fiscal opportunities.
Dispute settlement
o settles disputes or sets the basis for litigation of fiscal claims and provides support or represents Nutreco in such matters, if necessary supported by tax
consultants, in order to minimise legal and financial consequences of tax disputes.
Management advice
o Proactively advises (corporate) management, with regard to all relevant fiscal matters for the company, in order to ensure tax awareness in decision making
and to minimise financial risks.
Management information
o Provides support to the tax input to the corporate Reporting & Accounting department in line with corporate guidelines in order to draw up (half-) year
accounts for Nutreco.
