Job Overview
We are looking for a content strategist who will own and execute strategy for both a consumer newsletter focused on driving user engagement / retention as well as a business insights newsletter focused on positioning Reelgood as a go-to resource for streaming measurement data for journalists and nurturing current B2B clients and nurturing/generating B2B leads. You will also manage our social media channels.
You are ideal for the job if you’re great at writing engaging and compelling content, and also have perfect written English. You are up to date with current pop culture trends and even a little ahead of them. You are good with social media management and are comfortable working with loosely defined problem spaces. You know how to translate data into compelling stories. Perseverance is second nature to you, and you aren’t phased if you have to go back to the drawing board when you get new insight or feedback that changes the direction of your work. You are excited about staying up to date with trends, exploring pop culture to its fullest extent, media hacking, psychology, and using data and graphs to tell a story. The location is in Quito and an office at a coworking space will be provided.
Responsibilities
Own and execute strategy for both a consumer newsletter focused on driving user engagement/retention as well as a business insights newsletter focused on positioning Reelgood as a go-to resource for streaming measurement data for journalists and nurturing current B2B clients and nurturing/generating B2B leads
Lead the creation of the narrative around new product features and project manage the launches for those new product features
Develop clear and compelling core value propositions for both consumer and B2B products, providing the rest of the marketing, communications, and PR teams with a strong foundation to build additional messaging
Write up data posts for B2B lead gen for the blog couple times a week for use by Sales to share with leads as marketing collateral
Develop, own and execute content strategy for the Reelgood UpNext blog and social media, including scheduling content, moderating/responding to comments, measuring engagement, etc.
Curated lists for homepage, entertainment newsletter using RAW data, testing new ideas for this newsletter to engage and retain users (and reporting back to team on user engagement and retention metrics)
Might also be asked to lend temporary support to the customer success team.
Qualifications (Ideal)
Perfect written English and excellent ability to communicate.
Experience creating, distributing and analyzing social media content
Ability to tell stories with data
Ability to create engaging content both for B2B and B2C audiences.
